Drake posted a video of his Toronto mansion flooding during a massive storm that Һit the city on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old rapper shared a clip on his Instagram Stories, showing himself wading through his luxurious dressing room with water up to his ankles.
The video captures the flooded floor and a man struggling to keep the dressing room doors shut against the deluge.
Displaying his signature humor, Drake captioned the clip, “This better be Espresso Martini,” referring to the brown water.
The storm reportedly left over 100,000 Canadians without power, with Toronto’s four inches of rainfall breаking a record dating back to 1941, according to Environment Canada.
Drake, whose real nаme is Aubrey Graham, made headlines in 2015 when he began building his opulent Toronto home, buying the plot for $6.7 million and investing $100 million in its construction.
Despite his privacy about his residence, he occasionally gives fans glimpses of the luxurious property on social media, highlighting features like his private basketball court.
The flooding comes just two months after multiple break-in attempts at Drake’s $100 million estate, nicknamed the Embassy.
On May 11, Drake’s security team reportedly detained another intruder at the mansion, marking the third such incident in a week, excluding the earlier drive-by shooting of a security guard.
Photos obtained by TMZ show a man being subdued by another on the lawn outside the gates. Toronto Police responded to a call and escorted the trespasser off the property, issuing a ticket.
Earlier, on May 8, a security guard was shot outside the mansion gates. Toronto Police could not confirm if Drake was home at the time.
The incidents have raised questions about a possible connection to Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar, 36, which has been played out through viral diss tracks. However, police have not found any indication that the incidents are related.
Drake’s Toronto flooding comes after Lamar taunted him by using an image of Drake’s mansion as cover art for his track “Not Like Us.”
In the meantime, Drake can find refuge from the Toronto storm in his $15 million mansion in Texas.
