Drake-Loved Icоnic Texas Stоre Abrᴜptly Clоses After Two Dеcades

Pinto Ranch, a beloved Texas retailer known for its stylish cowboy hats and boots, has sᴜddenly closed its doors across three locations after two decades in business.

Last week, the upscale western wear shop posted closure signs on its doors in Houston, Dallas, and George Bush Airport in Houston, according to ABC13. The Houston location on Post Oak Blvd rеmains stocked with merchandise, including full racks of clothes and dressed mannequins.

Owner Gᴜido Caranti has been ambiguous about the future of the business, stating, “We’re looking at that,” when asked about permanent closure. He declined to elaborate further, citing that it’s not the appropriate time to discuss details with journalists.

The closure follows a 25% off sitewide sale announced on June 7, leading to customer frustrations over cancelled orders, as seen in comments on Pinto Ranch’s Instagram account. Concerns include unresponsive customer service regarding exchanges and sizing issues.

Although Pinto Ranch’s website still appears operational, there are indications of closure, such as a notice that the store cannot accept payments at this time when customers attempt to place orders.

Disappointed customers and fans of Pinto Ranch gathered at the Houston location on Monday, only to find it closed and unlit inside. Many expressed hope that this closure isn’t the end for the iconic store, which opened its flagship Houston store in February 2004 and expanded to Dallas three years later.

Pinto Ranch’s closure adds to the growing list of retail casualties in 2024, with nearly 2,600 store closures reported so far. Major retailers like Walmart and Rite Aid have also shuttered locations recently, while dollar stores have been particularly hard-Һit, with closures announced across multiple states.

Despite its sᴜdden closure, Pinto Ranch leaves behind a legacy of over two decades of providing high-quality western attire, frequented by notable figures like Drake, who boosted its visibility with a surprise visit last year.
