Drake released Scary Hours 2, a follow-up to his 2018 EP, on March 5 to heighten anticipation for his forthcoming studio album, Certified Lover Boy.
All three new tracks from the EP debuted simultaneously in the top three positions of the Billboard Hоt 100, marking a historic achievement in the music industry.
Building on this success, the Canadian singer-songwriter was seen entering a recording studio in Los Angeles on Thursday, accompanied by his entourage.
Drake opted for a casual-cool look with black cargo pants, a multi-colored tracksuit jacket by Sicko, and white sneakers. His trademark heart design buzzcut was prominently displayed on the left side of his hairline.
During his studio visit, Drake was surrounded by a mix of friends and security personnel as he arrived and departed.
Currently, Drake is diligently working on Certified Lover Boy, his sixth studio album. The lead single, “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk, was released on August 14, 2020, ahead of the originally scheduled album release in January 2021. The song debuted at number two on the Hоt 100 and received Grammy nominations for Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
Following delays to Certified Lover Boy, Drake focused on Scary Hours 2. Among the new tracks, “What’s Next” debuted at number one last month, with “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby at number two, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross at number three on the Hоt 100 chart.
