Jennifer Lopez’s Nеtflix Film ‘Atlas’ Brеаks Streаming Recоrds Dеspite Negаtive Reviews, Tour Cаncеllation, and Marriagе Troublеs

Jennifer Lopez is back on top after her Netflix sci-fi thriller Atlas dominated streaming films.

Jennifer Lopez is riding high again after her Netflix sci-fi thriller Atlas emerged triumphant among among streaming films; still from Atlas

According to Variety, Atlas was the most streamed film for the week of May 24–30 in Luminate’s streaming rankings.

Netflix's Atlas was the most streamed film for the week of May 24¿30 in Luminate's streaming rankings, according to Variety; seen May 20 in LA

Not only did it take the top spot, but it also surpassed other films in the top 10 by a significant margin, with the second-place film watched about one billiоn minutes less than Atlas.

And it wasn't just the number one film ¿ it clobbered the other streaming films in the top 10, with the second-place entry being watched approximately one billion minutes fewer than Atlas was

These impressive streaming numbers are a welcome boost for Lopez, 54, who has recently faced a slew of nеgativе reviews for her latest film.

According to Luminate's ratings, Atlas logged 1.3B minutes watched over the week, amounting to 11M views. Netflix's Mother Of The Bride only had 223M minutes, by comparison

Additionally, she has been dealing with reports of marital issues with her husband Ben Affleck, who has been living separately in a rented mansion for weeks. Last week, Live Nation announced the cancellation of her entire upcoming tour.

Atlas logged 1.3 billiоn minutes watched over the week, equating to nearly 11 million views, according to Luminate.

Atlas was even watched more minutes than the most popular streaming show, Netflix's Bridgerton. However, Jennifer received terrible reviews for the sci-fi thriller; seen May 21 in Mexico

This figure was calculated by dividing the total minutes watched by the film’s 120-minute runtime, although many viewers likely only sampled the film. Netflix, which is known for its opaque viewership data, considers just two minutes watched as a ‘view.’

The streaming win comes amid rumors of marital troubles with husband Ben Affleck. He has been living in a rented home for weeks, and they have rarely been seen together in recent months; seen in May 2023 in LA

Still, Atlas’ viewing numbers made it the biggest film of the week across major streaming services.

They reunited last week for his daughter's graduation party, but they then returned to his rented home and Jennifer immediately left alone

In fact, it outperformed any series during that period, with the most-watched show, Bridgerton, only racking up 766.8 million minutes watched.

The second most-watched film was Netflix’s Mother Of The Bride with 223 million minutes watched, followed by Prime Video’s The Blue Angels with 181.4 million minutes.

Jennifer also had a setback when she canceled her summer tour to be with family. A source told DailyMail.com it had been selling well before the cancellation; seen in February in NYC

Rounding out the top 10 were Netflix’s Thelma The Unicorn, Prime Video’s The Idea Of You, Unfrosted (Netflix), The Beach Boys (Disney+), In Good Hands 2 (Netflix), Golden Kamuy (Netflix), and Road House (Prime Video).

Despite unclear numbers on full viewings of Atlas, its high ranking indicates significant interest in the film and Lopez. However, it holds a 21% rating on Rоttеn Tomatoes and a 37/100 on Metacritic, indicating “generally unfavorable” reviews.

Lopez’s marriage to Ben Affleck has been under scrutiny, as they hadn’t been seen together publicly for weeks, a stark contrast to their previously frequent public displays of affection.

Last week, they made a rare joint appearance at Ben’s daughter Violet’s graduation party at Jennifer Garner’s home but returned separately to Ben’s rental mansion afterward.

They reunited again on Sunday at Ben’s son Samuel’s basketball game, attended by Ben’s mother and ex-wife, where they shared an awkward air kiss.

This meet-up came days after Lopez canceled her entire summer tour “to be with her children, family, and close friends.”

In a heartfelt statement, she expressed her regret for canceling the tour but emphasized the necessity of the decision.

A source told DailyMail.com that she needed to spend time with “family and close friends,” noting that the tour had been selling “well in most key cities.”

Rumors had suggested poor ticket sales, possibly due to the tour being named after her underperforming album This Is Me… Now. It was later renamed This Is Me… Live: The Greatest Hits, which led to an increase in sales, according to the source.
