In disheartening news, the mullet has made an u𝚗expected resurgence this year, possibly surpassing even the comeback of the bowl cut (thanks for that, Celine Dion). Recently, Billie Eilish appeared to be embracing the mullet trend at the LACMA Art + Film Gala with a new hairstyle, but it turns out it was all a misunderstanding.

If you thought Billie was following the questionable mullet trend, think again, because setting trends is more her style. She clarified during a casual chat with a TMZ reporter at the airport that her “mullet” was actually the result of a hair dye mishap.

“You know what happened? Somebody dyed my hair and they burnt half of it off and now it looks like a mullet,” she explained. “That sҺit is not on purpose though.”

While the reporter was supportive of the look and suggested she should keep it, Billie wasn’t having it. “No, I’m growing that sҺit out,” she declared.
