The “California Gurls” singer showcased the striking silver chainmail dress she donned for the episode.

The silver chainmail dress Katy wore was designed by Paco Rabanne, featuring a fitted bodice with a plunging V-neckline and a sheer asymmetrical skirt. 

This ensemble bears a resemblance to the cowgirl-chic chainmail bodysuit Katy wore for an album party. Tatiana Waterford, the stylist who previously curated her look for Jimmy Kimmel Live! last month with a barely-there zebra miniskirt and thigh-high boots, was responsible for Katy’s style.

For the bonus American Idol episode, Katy, who has been likened to Simon Cowell for her “bully” behavior, added more shimmering details to her outfit with a pair of silver dangling earrings. She maintained her iconic black hair in loose waves past her shoulders, complementing her minimal makeup, which was done by makeup artist Michael Anthony and hairstylist Rick Henry.
